ABOUT THE RALLY

With climate change, countries are shifting towards renewable energy and reducing their carbon footprint. Morocco has become, over the last 10 years, an international leader in the renewable energy and is working towards supplying this energy to the UK to achieve net zero emissions . Out of all, transport has the highest reliance on fossil fuels of any sector. Car brands are producing electric vehicles that make the contribution towards improving air quality in towns and cities around the world. With no tailpipe, pure electric cars produce no carbon dioxide emissions when driving. This reduces air pollution considerably. 

Education is a major problem for many Moroccan girls in rural areas. Many girls do not have access to education due to various factors, including poverty, lack of resources, and cultural barriers. As a result, they are unable to develop their full potential and contribute to their communities and the wider society. The Kingdom to Kingdom Green Drive for Charity aims to support Moroccan charities that are working to place young girls back into education and provide them with equal resources and opportunities to succeed in life.

Despite the fact that education in Morocco is compulsory till the age of 15, many teenagers in the rural areas, especially girls, fail to attend. The rate of literacy in Morocco is currently at about 40%, which is shockingly low. Public education is often overcrowded, underfunded and lacking basic supplies. The education sector in Morocco as well as in the rest of Africa is an area for improvement. These children deserve a better start in life to make the right choices in adult life.
